Steve, thank you. Amazingly poignant and spot on. I have fought the good fight, and only hope and believe that I have made several dents in the world... but the world doesn't always signal back... Keep doing what you do.

Even though I believe we have agency, I have long observed that almost everyone, in their own way, tries to change their life for the better. And if someone can't, the explanation is fate. The mind needs an explanation, any explanation will do, as that explanation is better than the lack of an answer, and the uncertainty of the future.

Thank you for re-sharing this, Steve. Love the quote from one of all-time my favorite Jackson Browne songs & albums. Listened to it over & over since high school. Thanks for your chart, an interesting take on Maslow. Thanks also for reminding me of something my loving but deceased mom used to say with me: This isn’t a dress rehearsal. Really appreciate you!
