Thank you for a very informative post. I always knew as an adult that microwaves and radiation were not good for your health. However, you have scared me even more. But, that is a good thing as it serves as a reminder for me not to stick my head in the microwave or get very close to a reactor. Funny footnote is that I lived in Pennsylvania, not far from Three mile island and Harrisburg when that went sideways. I also had a job as a copier repair technician that took me on site when the Limerick reactor was being built in Pottstown Pennsylvania. No problem there, the reactor was not ready to be fueled yet. I also spent time in the US Navy around nukes. It's a wonder I don't glow in the dark by now. Again, thanks for a great post.
Wow! Steve Blank, what a fascinating read! I have been following you for years, ever since you were in Seattle and spoke at one of my meetup groups. I always learn something from you. I believe in "always be learning", even if it does not apply directly to my career.
An amazing story and brilliantly told, too.
Agreed!

Wow on 10CFR20 dosage! First round on me when we get to swap SCRAM stories
Wisdom on moving along from a job; and a story well told, at that. Thanks for sharing this piece, Steve.
Wow Steve. I knew that you could write business books, but this was fascinating!

p.s. Actually "toxic bosses" actually does apply, and was one of the reasons I made a career change many years ago.
